Cuisine
A great proportion of Gujaratis is vegetarians. The standard ‘Gujarati Thali’ consists of lentils, rice, roti and vegetables, snacks like farsaan, salads, and sweet dish. The Gujaratis are known for having a sweet tooth. Their every dish accompanies a sweet dish. In addition to that, every dish has a hint of sweetness added to it.
Costumes
Their costumes differ by their living habitats, several outfits are worn by the people of Gujarat in rural or urban areas. Generally, men wear trousers and shirts or t-shirts and younger women wear normal western outfits like skirts, dresses, jeans, etc. Older women usually wear saris or salwar kameez. In rural parts, people are found to wear dhotis and kurtas or bandis. Even traditional outfits like chania choli by women and kedia dress are worn by men in rural areas or during cultural festivals.
